The Energy Diaries

As the UK’s largest gas distribution network and a provider of a critical service to over 11 million homes and businesses, we are responsible for keeping people safe, warm, and independent.

As part of our ongoing commitment to understanding the changing needs of our customers, our research programme explores the topics of energy and sustainability with diverse customer groups.

For the last four years, Energy Diaries has focused on specific groups or topics to shine a light on the challenges the public faces, and their attitudes towards energy and sustainability. To date, Energy Diaries has had four focuses:

Each edition of the Energy Diaries includes qualitative in-depth interviews with customers, as well as co-creation expert workshops and quantitative surveys.
