Ansty Park, Head Office Development

In 2022, Cadent celebrated the opening of its central office hub, a 94,000 square feet sustainable building at Ansty Business Park in Coventry. This building brings together its people to deliver a new purpose whilst living its culture and values.

One of the key values is to shape the future - a greener, more sustainable future – which has intrinsically been embedded into the credentials of the new build, to benefit everyone who uses it.

And the company has exceeded all sustainability regulations, proudly putting its build in the top 25% of new buildings in the UK.

Much planning and consideration went into building and furnishing a sustainable environment that suits the company’s purpose and culture; some of these key sustainable features include:

• Solar panels generating 194 MWH energy for the building, saving the equivalent of 45 tonnes of CO2 each year
• Thermally modelled building - with strategic brise soleil placed around the building’s exterior to increase shading and reduce thermal heat gain, which means a lower electrical load on the air-conditioning and saving around 20 tonnes of C02 each year
• Harvesting rainwater and using it to flush the toilets
• Saving electricity on daylight harvesting and LED lighting with room motion sensors that detect when somone walks in or out of a room
• 5 oxygen producing living moss walls
• 85% of the building’s interior, finishes and furniture sourced within 100 miles
• Recycled materials for furniture and floorings were used where possible
• Paperless office – limited printers or filing facilities to encourage digital file storage
• 67 Electric vehicle charging points on site meaning 11% of parking electric charging capable.
