Following our previous correspondence and the recent Engagement Event at Kimberley Parish Hall, we’re now able to share further details regarding the Main Street, Kimberley Gas Works. These operations are crucial to ensuring the safety and efficiency of the gas infrastructure and supply to your homes and businesses.

Project Details:

• Start Date: July 29, 2024.
• Project Duration:  10 Weeks.
• Phases & Traffic Management:The work will be carried out in phases, with varying traffic management. Please see below for a details of the phases, including road closures, temporary signals and no parking, loading & unloading restrictions.

• Bin Collections: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: We are in close communication with Broxtowe Borough Council to ensure that a seamless bin collection service continues throughout the project. While there may be slight alterations to the time of day the collections occur, the current collection days will remain unaffected.

For the 1^st Week our Customer Liaison Officer with the kind permission of the owners will be using Rumbletums Café (Newdigate St) for a site-based office - Tuesday 30^th July to Friday 2^nd August 10am to 2pm.  If you have any enquires during these dates & times, please feel free to visit.

COLLABORATIVE WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
Our 10 weeks duration consists of multiple utilities working under the phasing arrangements to ensure minimal disruption throughout Main Street:

•  Cadent [Planned Works] Mains Replacement.
•  Cadent [New Connection] New Service Into a dwelling on Main Street. 
•  National Grid Electricity New Ducting & Cabling from Nine Coners into James Street.
•  Severn Trent Water Sewer repair junction Greens Lane.

RESPONSIBLE PARKING
We are reaching out to all vehicle owners to be considerate in the way vehicles are parked to allow ease of access for passing traffic, buses, and refuse collections. We appreciate your cooperation.

Cadent will soon commence work on the gas mains in your local area, Main Street, Kimberley. Following an agreement with the local highway authority, this project will begin on July 29, 2024, and will last approximately 10 weeks.

These works are essential to maintain a safe and efficient gas infrastructure and supply to your homes and businesses.

Given the location of the works and their impact on the local community, we are hosting a Drop-in Day to address queries in person. This event will be held on:
